In November, Eagle Technology, Inc. and SRM (Sustainable Resources Management, Ltd.) teamed up and set the pace on the new "Green Lane" at Toronto's annual Health Achieve Conference. Together, they offered the widest range of solutions to aid healthcare related facilities in turning to a ‘holistic’ sustainability approach to facility management and energy conservation. Specifically, Eagle and SRM highlighted the services they can offer that are necessary in the processes of: commissioning or retro-commissioning, LEED certification assistance, energy and water audits, life-cycle cost analysis, sustainability training and maintenance integration.
The combination of ProTeus MMX with Dataflo’s mthree™ RFID tracking impressed and intrigued visitors at the conference. Implementing an RFID enabled CMMS solution saves time by enabling fast asset location, coupled with detailed work orders, and a system for correctly documenting the work that is done. In the instance of a medical device recall, the current location of all assets is available in real-time, reducing risks and increasing patient safety.
Life-Cycle Cost analysis is a critical component in managing the overall costs of healthcare regardless of location (whether in a country with a national health plan in place, or one that does not).
