The backbone of Proteus is its excellent work order management functionality. Proteus effortlessly handles an unlimited number of preventive maintenance schedules and work order cycles, as well as corrective (demand) maintenance, for all of your equipment. Work orders can be scheduled based on runtimes, date cycle or on an as-needed basis. They can be viewed and accessed via listing format, a calendar interface, report or on a Windows-enabled mobile device, and are automatically activated and printed when due.
Proteus is available in two editions, a small to mid-size environment program called Proteus Professional, and an enterprise version called Proteus Enterprise. Both are feature-rich applications, with the Enterprise edition supporting multiple databases and locations, which is ideal for managing enterprise-wide assets. Enterprise also supports an Audit trail module to track user login and logout, as well as all changes to the database. Proteus is available in a client/server environment. It runs on a Windows 2000, 2003 or 2008 server using a MS SQL database. (Proteus Professional includes a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition database.) Clients need to have either Windows 2000 Pro SP4 or higher, Windows XP Pro SP1 or higher, VISTA Business or Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate.
Proteus is designed to be user-friendly, with helpful QuickLinks, customizable fields to meet the needs of many different industries, a powerful report generator that can filter and sort data in a variety of ways, and a dashboard with KPI’s to display current work order activity, as well as critical information to spot anomalies and monitor trends. Access rights prevent unauthorized actions such as editing of data. Approval levels ensure that procedures are followed. Both editions offer seamless integration with popular Building Automation Systems.
