For the third and final blog of our three part CMMS Cloud Computing series, we would like to tell you how to get started with our CMMS cloud computing software products, MMX Connect and Proteus MMX.

In Part 1 and Part 2 we mentioned that the setup for CMMS cloud software is very straightforward! Eagle Technology follows suit and likes to make the setup for your CMMS software as easy as possible. However in order to make the most of your CMMS cloud software, there are certain steps that our customers must take in order to plan how CMMS software will “behave” over time.

CMMS “Behavior”

CMMS software needs to be set up correctly so that it can provide you with a wealth of data properly organized for strategic decisions. The “behavior” of your CMMS, or rather the way the data is collected, is determined by two major components: data and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Data

Included in the initial steps of the CMMS implementation process, the company also needs to collect data in orders to manage facilities, assets, equipment, and machines. This data creates a foundation for your CMMS software and continuously builds throughout time.

SOP

The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is the most important component when setting up your CMMS software. The SOP determines the behavior of the software by establishing best practices for CMMS use. For example, standards for data collection are determined which leads to important decisions that affect labor, costs, and operations.

Eagle’s team of experts are available to guide you through the implementation process, and when the data is ready, we import the data for you. When your CMMS cloud software is ready, all you have to do is log in!
